The Watchword "Knowledge Must Be Shared, Skills Must Be Transmitted, Health Must Be Spread”

The Association of Italian Doctors in Europe and the World (AReMIEM) is a scientific society consisting of Italian doctors and surgeons or any doctors trained in Italy who carry out their professional activities in Italy or a foreign country. The AReMIEM Association is non-union and is apolitical, non-partisan, non-denominational, and indipendent of any other association, public and/or private entity. The registered office is in the municipality of Rome. It operates as a non-profit in the national and international health sector and pursues the following aims:

  • Facilitating the establishment of a European Health System and promoting health-scientific-educational cooperation among Member States.
  • Recognizing the international dimension of the medical profession.
  • Addressing the mobility of doctors and the cross-border nature of healthcare.
  • Encouraging collaboration and knowledge exchange between Italian and foreign doctors operating across various European countries and worldwide, utilizing innovative technological means and communication systems.
  • Promoting intercultural and professional exchanges among doctors in Europe and globally.
  • Providing support to doctors who pursue their professional careers in European or non-European countries or return to practice in Italy.
  • Fostering exploring new technologies and healthcare solutions and advocating for developing new health systems to meet the diverse demands for healthcare in different countries.
  • Engaging in dialogue to represent the rights and interests of doctors within institutions, organizations, associations, and companies, in compliance with relevant regulations and standards in individual countries, Italy, Europe, and worldwide.
  • Promoting dialogue and collaboration with healthcare and health-related associations and organizations in Italy, Europe, and worldwide, to safeguard citizens’ right to health and advance medical scientific progress.
  • Serving as a healthcare reference for Italian citizens living abroad and supporting access to healthcare services in foreign countries.
 

The “AReMIEM” Association has the capacity to establish connections and collaborations with other professional and non-professional associations that share similar objectives. It operates independently of any public or private, Italian or foreign entities. The association holds complete legal, financial, and procedural autonomy, enabling it to carry out its activities and functions without external interference.
