The Polverino Laboratory at Baylor College of Medicine (Houston, Texas) is pleased to announce an opening for a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow position within our translational pulmonary research program focused on Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), precision medicine, immunology, and artificial intelligence-driven biomedical data analysis.
Our laboratory investigates the molecular and immunological mechanisms underlying COPD progression, with particular emphasis on individual susceptibility to smoking-related lung disease, inflammatory pathways, and innovative therapeutic strategies. Current projects include large-scale clinical datasets, AI-assisted omics analyses, translational biomarker discovery, and multicenter clinical trials.
The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary and international research team composed of clinicians, computational scientists, molecular biologists, and translational medicine experts working at the forefront of respiratory research.
Position Highlights:
Full-time Post-Doctoral Fellowship
Starting salary: from $65,000/year and above, based on experience and qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in wet lab techniques, computational biology, statistics, or clinical research is highly desirable
Excellent communication and scientific writing skills
